Carol and Lee did an amazing job of capturing our wedding day in still pictures. Friends and family that could not attend commented that they felt like they were there after viewing our photos. Our wedding guests cannot stop raving about how beautiful our photos are. They are a great husband and wife team and very friendly. They blended in so well that we forgot that they were even there taking photos yet they were able to capture every special moment throughout our wedding day. This is the second time Carol has taken portraits of my family. She did such an amazing job the first time that when my second son was born I begged her to come back and do another portrait session for us. This one was just as good, if not better! We got beautiful pictures of our newborn son and she even managed to get our 2 year old to cooperate and captured the most amazing pictures of the two of them together. When we asked Carol to take our family pictures, we got so much more than we had ever hoped. Carol went out to scout pretty locations to shoot both in Yorktown and Williamsburg. By the time the day came, she had chosen several beautiful locations that would give us a variety of light and backgrounds. We really wanted a natural looking picture, not posed like other photographers do and NOT in a studio. Carol took us to each location and started shooting. She used various lenses and angles. She laid in the grass, climbed hills, walked through weeds and much more to get the most natural, perfect shots of my family and my daughter. She continued all morning and was so patient with my 6 year old. Carol was so easy to work with, she is so kind and really wants to give you what you have envisioned. I expected to wait a long time to see the pictures because that is what I’ve always done, but was so pleased when Carol sent me some of the pictures right away. I was speechless. They were just what I dreamed and more. Shortly after I received all of the pictures and was simply amazed. Carol Hayes is a true artist. She does not do this for fun or for a hobby, she has true talent that cannot be learned or bought at the mall. To this day I am amazed every time I look at our pictures. We will never go anywhere else, she will do our pictures from now on…as a matter of fact we have already booked our next session for Autumn pictures and can’t wait!
